PowerPig- Chris McVeigh
Chris was one of the first people I first started to really follow. These photos in the sets are some of the work that I posted to MBG through out the years.
As you can clearly tell, the photography is pretty killer and his sense of humor seems to be in the right spot as well.
a Dan of action- Dan
Dan’s work has been featured on both MBG and Minifigures for a while now. Not exactly a builder, but another artist who is opportunistic with a camera. Taking pictures of Minifigures doing everything you can think of.
Balakov - Mike Stimpson
Longtime followers of MBG(Legos!), see something you remember?
Balakov has so many pictures on MBG it’s hard to narrow them down to only a few. Without looking them up on MBG, but just seeing them on his Flickr, I am going to say around 20 have appeared on here.
Mike does incredible work with a camera and this is only his part time gig.
Legohaulic - Tyler
It is so incredible when someone can not only build but also shoot a camera. Legohaulic’s work on the “Chicken vs Chicken” and “Charlie Brown” helped me to remember how awesome his work is. I saw his stuff in the beginning but haven’t seen his work for a while.
I’ll be keeping better tabs from now on.
Pedro’s micro star destroyer is one of my all time favorite posts ever. Beautiful build and beautiful way to shoot it.
Pedro was a late edition into this so I didn’t get a chance to email him.
im.mick-Mick
While getting to know Flickr and really seeing it for the first time, im.mick’s photos kept me going. Not much of a builder but more opportunistic with photography. Most of his work is awesome things like shots of minifigures looking at the clothes dryer or getting into a nice pint of Guiness are 2 that come to mind.
But with out a doubt, TK-421 is my all time favorite photo that im.mick has taken.
Sad Old Biker- Kevin Poulton
The first picture I saw of Kevin’s was the troopers with the Guinness and was hooked. Kevin’s profile says he is completely self taught and just happened to get “the photography bug” and cannot stop.
Thank god for “bugs”.
Very cool…..
So I contacted the artists who I would like to feature during MBG’s October 9th birthday celebration and they are all cool with everything I am showing and saying.
Cheers, to complete strangers being awesome.
(wait till I tell them about my $100,000 posting fee! MUahahaha)
This week coming up…..
we are going to focus on the guys and gals who are behind these incredible creations. Stay tuned.
Do you already have a favorite LEGO artist? Let me know who they are.
